Why Leadership Teams Keep Having the Same Meeting

The topic comes back because the conversation never finished. Same room, same tension, no closure.

A recurring meeting is not a hard problem. It is an unfinished conversation, and the mind will not let an open loop go. This paper maps the recurring meeting onto the four stages of HELP, finds the exact stage where the loop forms, and shows how to finish the conversation once. Grounded in the research on psychological safety, defensive reasoning, and unfinished tasks.

The Death of Discovery Calls

The buyer arrives already educated, and a scripted interrogation now insults them.

The scripted discovery call is dead, and not because reps run it badly. The buyer it was built for no longer exists. What replaces it is genuine Curiosity, accurate Communication, and the timing to know when you have earned the right to be prescriptive. Backed by the Gartner research on the modern buyer and the science of feeling heard.

The Three Competitive Advantages AI Cannot Replace

As AI drives the cost of output to zero, three human capacities become the only durable edge left.

AI commoditized output, which moved the advantage upstream to three capacities the machine cannot perform: Curiosity, Communication, Confirmation. This paper defines each, grounds it in the research on curiosity, the curse of knowledge, and calibration, and shows how HELP trains all three as disciplines rather than talents.

A Stuck Company Is Almost Always a Blind One

Nothing was wrong with the market. Everything was wrong with what they could not see.

A profitable, founder-run data company had gone a year with near-zero net growth, had not improved the product its customers actually used in over two years, and could not name its most profitable accounts. This is the anonymized turnaround, run on the HELP Operating System. How I found the blindness, the exact order I fixed it in, what changed, and the one system I could not fix before I left.

The Best-

The Best-Customer Engine

You already know the one client you wish you had ten more of. This is how you prove there are ten more, find where they hide, and build a company that can only win them.

Once you have identified your single most profitable client, the question is no longer who they are. It is what to do about it. This paper runs three disciplines of the HELP Operating System over that one account: Evidence, study them to the bone. Learn, size the market of look-alikes, test how reachable they are, and read the competition. Proceed, rebuild the company to win that one profile and almost nothing else. Backed by the research on customer profitability, retention economics, and beachhead strategy.

The Education
Three Cs

The Education Three Cs

Curiosity. Communication. Confirmation. Why the skills schools were never built to teach are now the only ones that matter.

The education system rewards what AI now does for free and under-rewards what AI cannot do at all. This paper argues for reorganizing primary, secondary, and post-secondary education around three teachable inputs: Curiosity, Communication, Confirmation. The HELP Operating System provides the operating plan that makes them teachable, observable, and assessable inside a classroom.

Canada’s
Value Capture

Canada’s Value Capture Gap

Why we ship our resources out and buy them back at ten times the price, and what to do about it.

Canada exports raw materials and imports the finished goods made from them. Automation has collapsed the labour-cost case for offshore manufacturing, but policy hasn’t caught up. This paper makes two arguments: first, that Canadians can’t have an honest conversation about industrial policy until they can see what is actually happening with our resources, and second, that Canada needs a value capture strategy comparable to what Indonesia, Sweden, South Korea, and Norway have used.
